ROAD LESS TRAVELED...

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

Christopher Visit...

This past week the Christophers came for a visit!!! We had a nice time with them...like always! :)

Those three goofy boys... hardly ever saw them because they were having so much fun playing...

Jeremiah, thanks for coming and thanks for remembering my name!!! :)

We enjoyed a couple of very nice walks in the park....it is a beautiful time of year!!

Dad and Mom...

and Uncle Mark and Aunt Wendy...

I think they were playing hide and seek...Seth is the one seeking/tracking... :)

Asher and Jeremiah had a lot of fun together!!!

Now if you were there right with them, Aunt Kim, I think it would be all the more perfect!!! :)

They left this morning and good byes, like always, were a little hard especially for a couple of little girls...who would be happy to stay together forever! :)

Thanks for coming Uncle Mark, Auntie Wendy, Seth, Katie and Jeremiah!!!!

Glacier National Park...
Beautiful!

Last week Nathan, Eli, Hannah and I along with two cousins, Byron and Caleb, and two friends, Lianna and Jeffrey went on a backpacking trip in Glacier National Park.
This is a picture of our first day of back country backpacking/camping. In the picture, behind us, are the mountains, if you look at the mountain that is the farthest away(behind the two closer ones) - that is the mountain we had to climb over in order to get to our first campsite. :) A total of 11.7 miles to get over the mountain and past, to our campsite... and on top of the mountain the wind was about 70 mph. It was an experience!!!

This is taken from the top of the mountain looking towards were we had to go to get to our campsite....behind the first mountain on the left...it was a long hike, but very beautiful!!!

On the way over the mountain we stopped and picked huckleberries for huckleberry pancakes. They were very tasty!

I think it I am pretty safe to say that cooking time was one of the best times! We had some very good meals, thanks to Nathan!!

Coffee, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider....really good on an early morning or late evening in the mountains!!!

Hannah and Lianna...

Thats us... before we decided on an interesting trek through the woods... lol

there is nothing like being on the top of a mountain... it was beautiful! and the company wasn't so bad either! :)

we got to see a fair amount of wild life...big horned sheep, mountain goats, squirrels and got way too close to a bear... Caleb, I am very glad we did not see that bear, he was a little too close...

Squirrels were very friendly... :)

And walking up streams, getting wet - all part of the fun! :)

It was a great trip!!! Thanks for coming everyone!
