A Spring day - in disguise...

We woke up to an inch of snow on the ground... thankfully it was gone pretty quickly, however it did snow most of the day...
This afternoon Hannah, a friend, and I went for a hike...

it was a beautiful hike... the river is very high right now from all the snow and rain - so it was a very wet walk down by the river...

This is moss on a tree... all wet from the morning snow...
It was a very nice walk!!!

Right before dinner, Eli and I ran over to the other side of the river to take some pictures of the river... You see our house right above the dam? Nice place to live... We are blessed with a beautiful home!

Because the river is so high, the water was going over the dam - It was amazing! We had fun!

A beautiful end...to a very nice day...

It rained all day today, which made the river rise even more! Even though this picture is too dark to see... the water is pouring over the dam, it is very beautiful! It is very nice to wake up to the sounds of water rushing over the dam every morning! It always makes me happy. :)

missing you...

Today was another beautiful day! We went to church this morning and then came home and had a little afternoon snack...

We sat outside and talked for a little while.

and then we decided to do some more work down on the hill... we had so much fun yesterday, that we had to do it again today! :)

after a few hours... I think we all must have been tired because some how Dad got a picture of us all sitting around! I think we all got some good sun! either that or we just managed to get lots of dirt on our faces! :)

after clearing the hill, we decided on a bon fire...

We had some friends over for chips and very tasty bean dip and s'mores.
Hannah and I went on our walk... and then we came home for a relaxing evening.


Nathan, we missed you today!!! Hope your time on the beach was nice! We can't wait to see you!!!

Spring work day...

This afternoon we all cleared lot of trees and brush from the hill beside our house...

Eli did the chainsaw work.... yeah, those apples were kind of hard to cut - but Eli took charge.

Here are some very good signs that spring will come to Wisconsin! :) We were starting to wonder...

Asher was very helpful!!! he carried our "new fire wood" up the hill for us!

actually we all carried firewood!!! lots of it!

since we were burning the brush as we cut it down, the fire chief paid us a visit... just checking... :) I think he put Asher in charge... gave him a badge and everything!

I should have taken a picture before we began... when we started you could not see that trail down there at all! It was very thick with trees and bushes. - Now you can sort of see the river and it looks a whole lot cleaner!

This evening Dad, Mom, Hannah, Eli, Joel and I went to a local coffee shop to watch some friends play and sing... it was lot of fun!

the boys enjoyed playing checkers! :) :)

It was a very nice day!! ...some good work, a nap, and a fun evening out! ;)

Lala got a haircut!

This morning Hannah cut Tovala's hair... she must have cut at least 8 inches off!

A Wonderful Day...

Today Mom and I went to Stillwater to take my graduation pictures... It ended up not being just graduation pictures, but coffee, shopping, and a very fun time together! :)

We went and explored some places that I had never been... very beautiful places! :)

My photographer did an excellent job!!! :) I am looking forward to seeing the finished product! We had a lot of fun together, I think we both decided that it should happen more often(not the taking pictures of Yetta part...)!

Well, it has been a little while since I have posted pictures - all I can say is that it is not for a lack of things going on!!! :) We have all been quite busy, yet enjoying the time as a family(like always).

This afternoon, after church, Hannah, Eli, Joel and I ran(well, more-like drove) up to the grocery store and picked up supplies for hamburgers and ice cream cones! :)

When we got home we all had fun getting dinner ready together...

Asher really enjoyed his ice cream cone!

We are having trouble with Sylvie, as you can see, she is just soo ugly...

well, maybe not... could be the other way around. She is very sweet! She sits in her highchair during meal time and enjoys listening to everyone. She thinks it is a lot of fun to copy everyone saying, "pass, pass" until someone asks her what she wants - then she just smiles. She likes to repeat words! This evening while we were in the living room, after she went to bed, she woke up. I went and got her and held her for a short time, and she fell asleep in my arms... She is pretty cute!

Hannah --- had a week off from nannying this past week, but will be back with Ava tomorrow.

Dad and Mom -- I am not sure what they will say to me putting these pictures on... :) Mom has kept busy homeschooling - seems to take a lot of time to teach us all. :) :) She does a good job!

and Dad does his most important job, of taking care of Mom, very well! ;) I think they are pretty happy! :) :)

This afternoon we took a walk in the park, it was a beautiful day! This weather keeps fooling us though... it was nearly a month ago that we had our first picnic and since then we have had snow and then a nice spring day and then snow again! I am hoping that Friday's snow was the last of it!

Now you are probably wondering why I took a picture of this pole... but Asher was playing hide 'n seek and even though you can hardly see him, he is behind there...

With all of the snow and rain... we have huge puddles/ponds all over...

Joel decided to go swimming... almost.

It was a very nice afternoon for a walk...

When we got home some friends stopped by for a visit, and then some more friends stopped by for a visit! :) Mrs. Sutton brought supplies(as in a huge bag full of microwaved popcorn and cheese and butter) to make cheesy popcorn, so we all made LOTS of popcorn together! While we made the popcorn Mr. Sutton took a few of the boys and since we had not had enough ice cream today, they went and got some more! It was a fun evening and it was nice to have company...

Behn finally got to go roller blading! He was asking everyday... and couldn't because of all the ice, but now the driveway is nearly completely clear!

Between roller blading everyone helped snap beans... Dad got a big box of beans, so Mom put most of them in the freezer for later use... :)

Asher again. :) He is pretty happy to be able to run and play outside without all of his winter clothes on!

I think Sylvia was waiting(very patiently) for someone to take her out! :)

Snow for April 1st...

This morning we woke up to a fresh blanket of snow everywhere...

It was beautiful, especially since the sun came out right away in the morning... and by the end of the day it was, for the most part, completely gone! :)

It was one last reminder of how beautiful the snow is, before summer comes...

Pictures!!!

Today I got my pictures in the mail!!! Last week I ordered 353 pictures from last year... and I have been checking the mailbox every day - very eagerly awaiting their arrival!
I got lots (meaning about 175) from our Glacier trip... It is so hard to decide which ones to get and which ones not to get... anyways I have lots!

I also ordered several from my trip to Colorado last August...

Then I ordered some misc. ones from short day trips, last summer...

I got some from when the Christophers came and visited...

and I got a bunch from our(Nathan, Hannah, Eli, Joel's and my) trip out to Virginia to go camping with Abram and Aaron.

I am very happy! :) :)
