It's a picnic!
This afternoon while everyone was doing school, Tovala, Asher, Sylvia and I decided to go on a picnic!

We packed our food and then started walking(and running)!

Then we found a nice grassy area...

where we ate our lunch!

We had fun!

Sister Yetta!

Yetta took these pictures of herself using her fancy remote for her camera. I liked them so much that I wanted you all to see. :) (She doesn't know that I'm posting) :) She has been learning all kinds of new things lately with her camera and computer/video recorder/ cows/corn/tractors and whatever all her photography work brings her in contact with. ;)
I thought you would all enjoy this! :):)

Chipotle and Baseball...

This evening Dad, Hannah.... everyone in that picture... and I decided to go to a Twins game this evening! Nathan, I have to tell you, we almost decided to do what you said and get the hot dogs and root beer, just to get the full experience... but when someone mentioned Chipotle, somehow the $5.00 hot dogs did not sound nearly as good! (we found out after dinner that it was $1.00 hot dog night at the metrodome... but we were all very satisfied by that time) :)

We met a friend of Hannah's, from her Colorado trip last fall, at the game... The Twins played the White Sox tonight.

past Twins players.... a few friends of Dad's ;) Kirby Puckett bought a trailer from Dad and he sat next to Tony Oliva one time. :) :)

Hannah stole my camera... :)

I found that I could see the game much easier through my camera lens! lol We were pretty far away from the game! I am excited to get a telephoto lens some day... it would be very helpful!

Hannah... :)

Yay!! The Twins won! 3-2

We all had a fun time! It was nice to be out together doing something a little out of the ordinary.

Dinner in the park...
This evening since all the boys were at a soccer game and Dad and Mom were gone on their date, we decided to have dinner in the park. So I put a pan, a jug of water, a few bowls and spoons and some ramen noodle soup in my backpack and we headed to the park (and some matches).

Talia, Behn, Tovala, Asher and Sylvia helped find sticks for our fire and I boiled the water on the fire and made our soup! :)

Hannah has been doing way to much studying, so we thought it would be a good plan to get her out of her room and away from her books...

Romen noodle soup has never tasted better... ;)

We had a nice little hike to and from "the cabin" in the park...

Sylvia is very funny; when she is being carried she says "I want to run" and when she is running she says "Hold me"!

It was a very nice way to spend the evening!

Hamburgers and French Fries.

This afternoon Mrs. Sutton and Justin came over and made hamburgers with us!

Ingredients:
2 Vanilla Wafers (hamburger buns)
1 Chocolate covered mint (hamburger)
Red and Yellow frosting (ketchup and mustard).

and miniture french fries.

Very fun! :) :)

We all had fun! They were very tasty! Thanks for the fun treat Mrs. Sutton!

Como Zoo...
Yesterday afternoon we (everyone in this picture and Dad and Mom) decided to go to the Zoo!

Hannah was working on school and the boys were at soccer, so Mom and Dad took the rest of us to the zoo.

Asher was very excited to see the lions and tigers, but a little disappointed that the bears were not around because of construction. :(

I think Sylvia's favorite were the monkeys and gorillas.

It was a perfect afternoon to be out! A very beautiful fall day... when everyone else is at work and school - makes for a quiet zoo.

We went to the conservatory also.

It was very beautiful! There were nearly every kind of plants in there... from fig trees to banana and pomegranate trees (with fruit growing on them) to pepper plants and incredible flowers.

Since I was there last, they added a section to the zoo... kind of like a jungle with snakes and spiders and even a sloth sitting in a tree. It is very nicely done!

We all had a lot of fun! It was a great day to be outside!

Soccer!
Last week the Eli, Joel, Noah and Seth had their first couple of soccer games!
that is Eli - #16

They all did very well! There is Joel -#15

Eli again.

I was not able to get a good shot of Noah or Seth, they were both subs and on the other side of the field.

They are off to a great start-they won both games!

The Mall of America...
Last night Jamie had to fly out... and some friends had called earlier in the week asking if I could drop them off at the airport, so we all piled in the van and drove to the airport. We dropped our friends off and then we went to the mall of america for a few hours since Jamie's flight did not leave until late.

It was fun to hang out... we wandered through lego land.

we considered going on a ride... but never quite got around to it. :)

then we went to caribou coffee and chatted for a while.

Since Jamie was here, we decided to call Dave who Hannah and Jamie met at Summit (who lives in Duluth) so he drove down and brought us all out for dinner! Then we brought Jamie to the air port and said good bye. It was a very nice afternoon! :)

Wings and Wheels

On Saturday, after Hannah and I picked Hannah's friend Jamie up (a friend she met while she was at Summit Last year), we went to Wings and Wheels (Osceola Town Days)...

Here Hannah and Jamie are... :)

Joel and Noah were both very excited to visit the osceola airport because they have been working for a man who owns a plane and so they have been able spend a lot of time around there. Joel also was offered a job at the airport a couple of weeks ago as a air craft mechanic assistant... It is a pretty exciting opportunity for him!

We had a fun time wandering around looking at planes and watching them take off and land...

Jamie has a cool camera too - so we had fun taking pictures together. :)

exploring an airplane...

Asher and Behn.

We learned about this glider - and the little ones got to sit in it! :)

after looking at all of the airplanes, eating some mini donuts, and visiting with some friends, some of us went and looked at the water fall! it was very beautiful!

when we got home Dad made brats and we had a bon-fire. Then we watched the Scarlet Pimpernel. :) It was a very nice day!
